We are doing this while uncovering the different factions motives. which we need to do without using our time powers unnecessarily or they will kill us. There's also the mandate from the Old Ones to seek out the three 'threats' they pointed out. We capture a secretly constructed Temple of Light, make it our base along with a couple other neutral parties. We saw what happened in Malgor's timeline when the Alliance saw what the Hero really was (they killed us) - and afraid of them finding that out in OUR timeline, we have decided to remain neutral and distance ourselves from Good and Evil as the Alliance has dissolved. This may explain why opening the portal to the Plane of Darkness would lead to an immediate end of the world.

The Plane of Darkness may be the Mask of Infamy's minions' prison or unwanted creatures residing within Voidstar's domain. Given these information, The DOOM likely originated from the Mask of Infamy. Given the connection between darkness and the DOOM, it is likely that Voidstar recognizes the Mask of Infamy which explains the erratic departure from the Firmament. Lastly, Voidstar returned back to the the Plane of Darkness after hearing the voices from the Mana Core. Nulgath says about Voidstar being a coward and acting strange despite being the strongest(?) avatar. Meanwhile, the Mask of Infamy claims that Shadowscythe is his which is originally associated with the DOOM. The DOOM is commonly affiliated with the Darkness yet Voidstar doesn't want to associate himself and the element of darkness with it. Now that I mentioned it, Voidstar may have a connection with the Mask of Infamy.

Good vs Evil is underway too according to Varga. There's just too many developments within the Avatars that it's hard to ignore. The Avatars were also shaken and showing signs of instability after Malgor especially with the 'death' of Kyanos. Forces of Light are becoming agressive and revanchist as well as the DOOM becoming active again. Given the frequent mentions and interesting developments, a second Planar War may be underway. I don't know what Lady Neso's beef with Kathool though. I'm a bit of a nerd so I'll give my opinion storywise: it seems Lady Neso is trying to obtain the Drowning Machine as a weapon against the Old World Order. Today's storylines was somewhat shocking since if I'm following it right, Aquella and the water elves are now dead (although the journal seems the imply that Aquella escaped). I'm liking it so far since recent sagas try to establish greater continuity with dragonfable and do more worldbuilding.
